French-speaking Business Development Intern

We are a parallel trading company specializing in the beauty sector, bringing high-quality beauty products to customers through alternative distribution channels. Collaborating with renowned brands, we are dedicated to providing authentic and affordable products.

We seek a French-speaking business development intern to strengthen our presence in the beauty market. As an intern, you'll gain hands-on experience and contribute to various business development initiatives. This is 5-month, full-time (Capelle aan den IJssel) internship.


Your mission
  • Conduct in-depth market research in the French-speaking wholesale and commodity trading industry, identifying trends, preferences, and opportunities.
  • Utilize French proficiency to develop business networks and build relationships with clients and suppliers in the French-speaking market.
  • Assist in building a portfolio of French-speaking suppliers and clients, understanding their specific needs.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders for seamless operations and account development/management in the French-speaking market.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team, converting business lead to prospects for business success.
  • Attend industry events to expand the network and enhance company accountability in the French-speaking market.
  • Stay updated on market dynamics, regulations, and competitors, providing insights to the team.
  • Identify growth opportunities, proposing innovative strategies for new segments or regions.
  • Adapt approaches to the cultural nuances and business practices in the French-speaking market.
Your profile
  • Fluent in French and English (written and spoken) with excellent communication skills.
  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about beauty industry trends and products.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently or in a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with CRM software is a plus.
  • Prior sales, marketing, or business development experience preferred but not required.
  • Currently live in or nearby the Rotterdam-the-Hague region is preferred.
