This is a full-time on-site internship position located in our Capelle aan den IJssel office, and the selected candidates are expected to start September 2023.

The internship starts with a 5 months period, a junior position will be offered afterwards (or after your graduation) if the collaboration is mutually content.

Your mission

True interest in gaining industry knowledge of wholesale and commodity trading (including FMCG, pharmacy, cosmetics/perfume) and apply it to day-to-day business development activities;
Conduct marketing research that contribute to developing new business networks and accounts in our current and target market;
Assist in building up strong and reliable suppliers/clients portfolio in your trading market;
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as finance department and supply chain department, to ensure all the business cases/accounts are well set up, followed up and concluded via the CRM system (salesforce.com);
Be hands-on in cultivating new business relationships, and interest in networking with business associates in your trading market and around the world;
Identify growth opportunities, proposing innovative strategies for new segments or regions.
Adapt approaches to the cultural nuances and business practices in your assigned market.

Your profile

Currently pursuing or recently graduated in business, marketing, or a related field.
Professional proficiency in English (office language) is a must, and bilingual proficiency in another language (used in our current and target markets) is required.
Strong interest in a diverse role consisting of sales, purchase, trading, business development or similar.
Self-promoting and always want to outperform your competition (even with yourself).
A good self-planner and skilled communicator to achieve strategic goals and targets.
Good negotiation skills and obsessed with numbers/figures.
A confident, proactive and curious people-person by nature.
Able to prioritize, multi-tasking, and perform well under deadline.
Able and willing to take calculated risks to thrive for career success.
Persistent and tenacious.
Currently live in or nearby the Rotterdam-the-Hague region is preferred.
