Warehouse Operation Intern

We are looking for a motivated Warehouse Operation Intern to join our team in our Rotterdam office. The main responsibilities of this position are to perform general Warehouse duties as well as administrative tasks such as recording shipment data for record keeping purposes.

You will work closely within the Warehouse team in order to streamline the flow of all outbound and inbound shipping. You will also communicate with our Wholesale, Logistics, and Finance teams in order to ensure all products are received and shipped in a timely manner.

To succeed in this role, you will need be hands-on and detail-oriented.

Your mission
  • Preparing orders for shipment and ensuring that the products are safe and secure.
  • Inspecting incoming shipments to ensure that they meet quality standards before being stored or shipped out.
  • Assist with recording shipment data, such as weight, quantity, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for record keeping purposes.
  • Helping with all outbound and inbound shipping on a daily basis and working closely with the team for accurate receipt of goods.
  • Communicating with other departments, such as Sales and Logistics, to ensure a policy-binding and cost effective in-and out-bound logistics process.
  • Assisting the Logistics Manager with organizing and tracking the flow of products in the warehouse.
  • Handling internal and external parties (such as insurance companies) once any arrived and/or delivered goods get lost or damaged.
  • Coordinating with the Finance department to issue invoices and adjust accordingly if necessary.
  • Availability for minimum 5 months continuously is a must;
  • Currently live in Greater Rotterdam-The Hague Region (preferred).
Your profile
  • Currently completing your bachelor’s degree in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field. Fresh graduates are most welcome.
  • A good planner and skilled communicator.
  • Willing and able to process and handle packages and to work with warehouse equipment with hands-on approach.
  • Able to prioritize, multitask and thrive in a dynamic start-up environment
  • Quick-learner, problem solver, proactive.
  • Strong organizational skills and a good eye for detail.
  • Good stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and handcarts is preferred but not required.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft suite, knowledge or experience in using information systems such as Dear System, TAPD or Salesforce is preferred.
  • High proficiency in English; working proficiency in another language (Dutch, Polish or Chinese) is a plus.
