We are looking for a motivated Accounting intern who will join our rapidly-growing team. In this role, you will learn more about financial modeling, analysis, and reporting; and make an impact on the team’s success by managing your own daily tasks such as bookkeeping and preparing reports. You will also get the chance to learn more about various accounting duties such as measuring, processing, and communicating financial and non-financial information.

To succeed in this role, you should have an aptitude for math and proficiency with relevant spreadsheet software (e.g. Excel). You will also need strong verbal and written communication skills in order to coordinate with related departments such as Warehouse, Logistics, Office Operation and HR.

As a team, we like you to be successful. Having said that, you will have complete onboarding training and mentorship throughout your internship. You are also encouraged to share your creative ideas, and will be supported to translate your ideas to actionable plans and/or projects that service Finance vision and business strategy. A full-time employment can be offered after the internship, if the collaboration during the internship is mutually consent and pleasant.

Your mission
  • Recording financial transactions into organized accounts.
  • Assisting with controlling accounts receivables and payables while managing office assets. Checking invoices and arranging payments to suppliers and chasing customers’ payments.
  • Ensuring the validity of records by reconciling company accounts.
  • Providing help with day-to-day tasks such as collecting documents, purchasing office supplies, and other daily accounting & administrative tasks.
  • Working with Office Operation team to keep an overview of current usage and inventory of office amenities (laptops, mobile phones, etc.) for accounting purpose.
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial reports such as profit & loss statements.
  • Monitoring any discrepancies in payment.
  • Assisting with the balancing of the office and department budget.
  • Helping with planning the budget for various company events in coordination with the HR and Office Operation departments.
Your profile
  • Completing a HBO degree in Finance & Accounting and/or Finance & Control. Fresh graduates are most welcome. 
  • Professional proficiency in English (working language in the office) is a must.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel is a must.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; as well as excellent administrative and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and excellent communication skills are all essential to this position.
  • A true team player while being able to work independently if asked.
  • Availability of 36 to 40 hours per week for a period of 5 months is a must.
  • On-site availability is needed, immediate availability is preferred.
  • Currently live in Greater Rotterdam-The Hague Region (preferred).
