We are looking for a highly motivated intern who is passionate about logistics. You will be joining our Logistics team in the Rotterdam office. You will be offered abundant learning opportunities and gain practical experience and knowledge of the full procedures applied to Logistics Operations. Besides, you will be given the opportunities to practice your stakeholder management skills and interpersonal communication skills. 

The primary responsibilities of this position are to support the wholesale & B2B Marketing team on a daily basis, and to coordinate with related departments to identify and resolve any issues causing disruptions to the supply chain. You will be the gatekeeper of information flow and communication lines with our Wholesale-, B2B Marketing-, and Warehouse team, to ensure the supply chain runs both effectively and efficiently. 

To succeed in this role, you will need to be extremely hands-on and detail-oriented. And you shall feel comfortable to perform or even thrive in a dynamic startup environment.

This is a full-time (32-40 hours/week) on-site internship, and the selected candidates are expected to start in July/August 2023. Please submit your ​resume and cover letter (highly appreciated). You will be invited for an interview ​once you are further selected.
Your mission
  • Responsible for ensuring the completion of shipments before approving the payments.
  • Assist the Logistics Specialist with facilitating an efficient and effective information flow to secure the goods received and delivered. 
  • Coordinate with Warehouse and Logistics teams to ensure a policy binding and cost effective in-and out bonding process. 
  • Coordinate with the Finance department to issue invoices and adjust accordingly, while needed. 
  • Oversee the staging, scheduling, and documentation of all in- and outbounding goods.
  • Responsible for communicating with internal and external (such as insurance companies) stakeholders once any arrived and/or delivered goods get lost or damaged. 
  • Work with related departments to ensure all internal processes are accurate and updated. 
  • Create reports on supply chain activities and performance, such as purchase orders, and shipment schedules. 
  • Able to complete various tasks in coordination with different team members while having a firm attention to detail.
Your profile
  • Currently completing your Bachelor or Master’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 
  • High proficiency in English (working language in the office) is a must; professional proficiency in Dutch is a bonus.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft suite is a must, knowledge or experience in using information systems such as Dears System, TAPD, or SalesForce is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively with all internal and external stakeholders .
  • Good time management- and organizational communication skills.
  • A quick learner, problem solver with proactive and can-do attitude; 
  • Good knowledge of  logistics and trade support is a plus.
  • Currently in the Netherlands (is preferred);
  • Full-time availability for 5 - 6 months continuously is a must;
  • Currently live in Greater Rotterdam-The Hague Region (preferred).
